Brinley's 1st soccer game

This is Brinley's first soccer game and boy was it cold. She is about a head shorter than all the boys she plays with but she can skip and trot around better than any of them. I'm glad she didn't fall over, someone would have had to help her up with that neat gettup she had on. I had to put the last picture on because she is totally skipping the opposite way of the ball (pretty much normal for her). This will be her one and only soccer season because she obviously is in need of a dance class and 5 out of 8 of the games that her and Lincoln play are at the exact same time at different fields.

Soccer Practice For Brinley

What a fun day for soccer practice. I think with the windchill it was 10 or 20 degrees with snow off and on. The parents were froze and felt that two quick runs would have been good enough but the coach was very gung-ho about going on to the point that he went into overtime. Brinley is the only girl and about a head shorter than the rest but she will do fine. There was a point that she just stood there crying not because someone kicked her or took her ball, but because she was soooo cold. If we can get some warmer weather and get the coach to quit calling her Abigail, it should be a fun season.

Our house

These are pictures of our house. I don't have all of the boxes unpacked in the office or our bedroom so we won't show those rooms yet. We put a lot into this house and when we finally finished, the washer broke and the vaccum broke. So now we have pretty much everything new.

Doug got me roses for Valentines Day but in all honesty, they were dead when I got them. Last Friday he came home with these to make up for the dead ones. They are beautiful! I love them.

Lincolns friend Kaela

Lincoln really likes girls. He decided last year that he was going to marry Kaela. This is Kaela sitting next to him. This year, there is a little girl that moved into our old house on Bayshore that Lincoln dreamed about for days. He used to ride the bus with her but now he only sees her once in awhile at school. He told me that he needed to write Kaela a letter letting her know that he isn't going to marry her because he decided to marry Avery. I told him that he should wait until he was 25 to decide and just be friends with both of them. In the past few weeks, he has tried to figure out a solution to this (BIG) problem and a couple of them were: marry Avery and have Kaela be the housekeeper, marry both of them because Lincolns friend Natalie has two moms and she said it's fun to have to moms.

Well, Kaela came over for a visit last week and Lincoln sat down with her (without me knowing) and started telling Kaela that he wasn't going to marry her. He later told me that when he began to tell her, she started getting a really sad look on her face so he said - nevermind, I'm going to marry you. Now she is happy. WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN HE IS TWELVE? Notice, Kaela has lipstick on that is smeared across her face. It came out of her red patent leather purse she carries around. Talk about high maintenance.

Well Brinley finally decided that she didn't like her long hair getting into her mouth anymore so we took care of that real quick before she could change her mind (again).

OFFICIALLY MOVED IN!!!

Yay, we are in our house. The boxes are not all unpacked but we are sleeping and eating in this cute house. We pretty much moved from the West side of the lake to the east side of the lake. The fun things about this house are: The basement is already finished, there is a park, baseball diamond, millpond spa and of course the lake all right behind our house. We didn't have to pay for a fence, (we have one already), it cuts 7 minutes off of our drive time to Salt Lake, the maverick gas station is within walking distance in case anyone needs a big pink sugar cookie or cherry pepsi, the church/stake center is 6 houses away, Lincolns bus stop is 6 houses away, Benson Griss Mill is within walking distance. there are trees and birds, we have met about 1/3 of our ward already and they all seem really nice. That is just a few things that I can think of right now. I think it will be a fun place to live. I do miss my neighbors believe it or not and the kids really miss their friends. Lincoln tried to have a party all on his own today to get some boys over to play. We did get one and that is better than none. Brinley has had Doug and I playing dolls with her doll house anytime that she catches us finishing a project. SHE NEEDS FRIENDS!!! We will work on this. I can't wait to change the colors of my blog and add more pictures and things like that but I do need to get the house in order first. A big thanks to everyone who has helped us out and have continued on with true friendships. We appreciate it and have not felt lost or alone at all.

Well back to work, although, I may have to change my blog design, it is making me crazy not to have change.
