Polar Express

My goodness what a fun day we have had. Aside from Utahs major win against BYU, my cool husband won tickets to the Polar Express from FM100. Our family has been counting down the days, hours and minutes for this exciting evening.
We had so much fun and I would definitely recommend everyone to save your money and go on it atleast once in your lifetime.
We arrived at the train station and stood in line to enter the train car that had our train number and it was cold. Finally they let us on and we let the children decide where to sit.
They started out with elves helping us, along with cooks that brought us cookies and chocolate milk. Mrs Claus handed out her favorite cookie recipe, then they handed out a story book to each of us so that we could follow along as they read the polar express. After this they had us watch out the window for Santa claus and the north pole. We found him and he came inside the train and asked every child what they wanted for christmas and then gave them a little silver bell. After Santa, they handed out the words to music and we sang carols as we started back. After the carols, they said the time was ours to sing a solo or tell a joke or whatever. We didn't have a shy crowd. Lots of people went up. Lincoln went up and sang of course, Jeramiah was a Bull frog - he did great until he got to the chorus and realized that everyone was listening and buckled. They cheered him on anyway. The entertainment went on and on. There was never a time for the children to be bored. I think when they finally got back to the truck, they ended up falling to sleep within 5 minutes. It was very fun and I am so glad that we were lucky enough to be given tickets. By the way, it's hard to take pictures in the dark and in cramped corners so hopefully some of them turned out so that we can share our fun day with you.

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY... GO UTES!!!!!

How proud can I be of my wonderful football team. I tell ya, I called it this year. I very loudly announced to Doug that the Utes would win by far. Thanks for proving me right! Oh yeah, sorry about your loss blue team, poor little kitties.

Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln

All I can say is this little guy is very creative. He puts alot of thought into everything that he does and when he does it, he really does it. As for the sign at the top, he made that a year ago and put it on his bedroom door. I can't take it off, it reminds me of something from Toy Story.

Seven weird/odd things about me!

1. I have a real problem of remembering redundant things such as: phone numbers of all my friends and neighbors growing up and of all Doug's family, my families ss#'s passwords, logins,everyone that I have only met once, every student in my high school graduation class and I know where every single person in the ward lives. The problem with this is when I see someone from the past, I run up and say hello ... and they look at me and don't have a clue who I am. It makes for really awkward situations. The strange thing about it is I can't remember anything important like answers to a test or what was in that recipe. Uuugh!
2. I love to travel even with the littlest amount of money. I used to watch on the internet at work for super great flight deals and call all my friends to buy tickets. We would fly out to anywhere and sometimes stay in really scary places. We once got round trip tickets for $100 dollars to Florida and got to be in a hurricane. Our hotel roof started leaking so they moved us to a different room but it was still fun. While single, I would once or twice a year, go visit trendwest with a friend, act like we were married and get free trips. We had a blast going to Vegas, California, wherever. Now that I have kids it's in our best interest to stay in better hotels. Those were the good old days.
3. I love Vegas. Yes a mormon girl loves Vegas-- For those of you who have not been to the fancy restaraunts, the nice shows, you are missing out. Two days max is enough but it is the best place for people watching. I love the Bellagio 'O' show and Celine Dion was excellent. The hotels are so beautiful, I could spend all day just walking through them, Venetian, Bellagio, Caesers palace. The only problem is that they don't have PEPSI, I think it's some sort of Mafia thing. Again, I haven't been there since I have had kids, maybe sometime in the future I shall return.
4. I love the smell of Markers, gas, tar, all that crazy stuff that kills your brain cells.
5. In highschool, I got kicked out of chemistry. I apparantly was so annoying that my teacher told me that if I left the class and never came back, he would give me an 'A'. That worked for me. I got an 'A'.
6. I love lumpy cream of wheat and lumpy mashed potatoes.
7. Ok, we are reaching here-- I used to collect basketball cards. Why you asked- I don't know. Were they worth anything? Not a darn penny. Do I have them still? heck no. What was I thinking.

Timmerie

Timpanogos Cave

This last Saturday was free day at Timpanogos Cave. We decided to take the kids on the hike and through the cave. It was very fun and the weather was perfect. I have a couple pictures but for the most part, I was afraid one of the kids was going to fall off the edge and was to nervous to keep taking pictures. I really want the kids to see all the places that I went to when I was their age although, I thought they were boring and my kids probably will feel the same way, but they will appreciate them when they are older.
